Celebrate the Power of Philanthropy on Live Oak’s Day of Giving
On Wednesday, November 11, Live Oak families will come together for our Day of Giving, a celebration of community, generosity, and the magic that happens every day on Mariposa Street. To kick things off, join us in the Courtyard from 8–9am for coffee, donuts, and connection. We’ll share an early look at how the day’s momentum is building. That afternoon, from 4:30–7pm, a team of dedicated volunteers will gather for our annual Phone-a-thon. They’ll reach out to families who haven’t yet made their gift to this year’s Live Oak Fund. It’s always a joyful evening full of connection and Live Oak spirit. Read more below.
Here’s the fun part:
Unlock a $25,000 match: every gift or pledge made by November 11 helps unlock a $25,000 matching gift for the school.
Earn a class social: any class that reaches 100% participation gets to host a class social at De Haro.
Want to join early?Make your gift or pledge now. Giving early builds momentum, helps unlock the match, and checks your name off the call list.
This year’s Live Oak Fund goal is $1 million with 100% family participation. Tuition is our largest source of revenue, but the Live Oak Fund gives the school the flexibility to invest where students and faculty need it most:
Access and belonging: more than $4 million toward our Adjusted Tuition Program, supporting a socioeconomically diverse community
Exceptional educators: competitive faculty compensation, benchmarked at the 75th percentile of Bay Area peer schools
Innovative curriculum: professional development and consultant support that strengthen our teaching teams and curricular development
Every child known well: layered teaching and support teams that work together for each student’s wellbeing and academic growth
Families of eighth graders give to the Class of 2027 Legacy Gift instead of the Live Oak Fund, and those gifts count toward family participation. More information will be shared in the coming weeks.
Each year, we ask every family to make one meaningful gift, at whatever level feels right for them. Every gift counts. Together, those gifts support the people and experiences every student shares, for the love of learning and for the love of Live Oak.
