This Fall Live Oak is again featuring a series of Community Assemblies that give voice to our students' and staff's traditions and celebrations around their cultural holidays.
So far this Fall, lower school assemblies have featured assemblies around Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Hispanic Heritage Month, and most recently, Diwali. Lower school students and staff have the opportunity to share about their unique traditions, as well as the meaning behind the holidays that help their lower school peers gain valuable historical and personal perspective. As the year goes on Live Oak will be holding more Community Assemblies that represent other cultural holidays celebrated among our students and staff.
