Celebrating the Life of Antonio Ampie

白維珍,校長
As you may have heard, Antonio passed away peacefully yesterday morning in the company of his wife, Imara, and other family members. I know this loss is felt by many in our community who knew and worked alongside Antonio throughout his 17 years of service to this school. In the coming days and weeks, we will help our students, and each other, process this news with the patience and understanding it requires. With his family, we will explore how best to honor his many contributions to this community. They are planning to wait at least three weeks to plan for services and they would like for us to share this information with all of you when they have it.
UPDATED: A service will be held for Antonio on Saturday, May 18 at 4pm at St. Gregory's of Nyssa (500 De Haro Street, San Francisco). Seating will be reserved for family and guests of the family. Due to space limitations, it is advised that guests from the Live Oak community be limited to adults. Donations in support of Antonio's family can be made by following this link.

Antonio was a source of brightness and joy for those who knew him, and, in that spirit, I welcome you to join us in celebrating Antonio’s life by sharing memories of him on the remembrance wall in the school lobby. Just as he touched so many lives at Live Oak today, we know there are so many other alumni and former colleagues beyond the walls of our school who were positively impacted by his presence.

Today, I am grateful for the strength and support of this community, and I hope you will join me in reflecting on the joy Antonio brought to the lives of those in and around the Live Oak community.

Grief resources from our counselors are provided here.
